“Twinkle, twinkle, little bat”

Over centuries of cultivation and production, an astonishing variety of tastes and aromas have been coaxed from the simple tea plant, camellia sinensis. Many of them pair extremely well with the aromatics found in spirits and infusions. In this class we will play with a few different ways to incorporate high quality teas and tea blends into a liqueur (citron green tea), a soda (jasmine tea), a bitters (oolong), a syrup (lavender-Earl Grey), and a pure spirit (lapsang souchong whisky).
Starts: 07/06/2013 03:30 pm
Duration: 3 hours:
6157 N. Figueroa St.
Los Angeles, CA
Examples of previously made versions will guide you as you create your own.

You will be provided with all the ingredients (alcohol excluded – see policy), materials, and equipment needed, and you’ll go home with everything required to finish each project in elegant glass bottles with custom labels. We will end the class by looking at a cocktail recipe that utilizes our work, and also considering possible food pairings.

You will need to bring:

  • 200ml Scottish whisky (such as Lismore Single Malt)
  • 750ml 100 proof vodka (such as Smirnoff No. 57 Blue Label or Absolut 100)
